Kumasi Asante Kotoko registered players for the CAF Confederation Cup campaign pocketed $500 each as bonus after their victory yesterday against Coton Sport de Garoura.
The Porcupine Warriors whip the defending champions of the Cameroon elite league 2:1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to book ticket to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The team qualified to the group stages for the first time since 2008 with 5:3 on aggregates against Coton Sport.
Kyfilla.com sources indicate that each of the players received $500 each which is equivalent to GHC 2,406 as bonus after the Coton Sport victory yesterday.
With this, the players are gingered for their subsequent games in the competition and it will also serve as motivation prior to their group stages campaign.
Kotoko have been drawn in group C of the CAF Confederation Cup and will lock horns with ZESCO United, Nkana FC from Zambia as well as Sudanese side Al Hilal.
Coach C.K Akonnor and his charges would face Al Hilal in their first group stages game on February 3 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
