Asante Kotoko have rejected the proposed date by the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) for the replay of the botched President’s Cup, Kyfilla.com has learnt.

According to report, GHALCA proposed October 13, 2019 for the replay of the President’s Cup after it was called off due to a heavy downpour in Kumasi on the initial date.
However, Oyerepa FM have reported that, management of the Porcupine Warriors, in a letter have rejected the proposed date by GHALCA.
In the said letter from the management of Asante Kotoko, the new date won’t suit them but they can only honour the match after the upcoming WAFU Championship of which they have about six of their key players to represent Ghana.

Another reason given by the NC Special Competition tier I champions is that, they want to concentrate on their participation in the ongoing CAF Champions League campaign, which they have their one leg in the group stages.
Meanwhile, the report says Hearts of Oak in a similar response to GHALCA’s letter have affirmed their readiness to play their arch rivals on the October 13.
