Kumasi Asante Kotoko have signed two new players for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign, Kyfilla.com can report.
Ashantigold SC utility defender Habib Mohammed and Ivorian striker Dany Zabo Teguy have inked contractual terms with the Porcupine Warriors.
Habib, an important figure for the Obuasi based signed a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors and has been registered for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Teguy who last played for Mazini Wanderers in the Swazi Premier League on the other hand penned a three-year agreement with Kotoko and he’s eligible to don the team’s jersey for the Africa campaign.
Coach C.K Akonnor and his charges are in pursuit for African glory after making it to the finals of the competition in 2005 where arch rivals Hearts of Oak whipped them in shootouts to clinched the trophy.
The team are currently on their way to Sudan ahead of their first group stage game against Al Hilal at the Hilal Stadium on Sunday February 3 at exactly 6:00PM in Sudan but 4:00PM in Ghana.
Habib and Teguy are not part of the squad making the trip to the North African country to face Al Hilal, but may be available for selection for the side’s second group game in Kumasi against Zesco United on February 10, 2019
