Kumasi Asante Kotoko will meet Kariobangi Sharks from Kenya in the next round of the CAF Champions League.
The Kenyan side managed to beat Artar Solar today in Djibouti and have qualified with 9:1 on aggregates to face the Porcupine Warriors in the next stage of the competition.
The Kumasi based team had a walk over in the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup prelims after the Cameroon Football Federation failed to present a second team to face Kotoko in the Confederation Cup.
Kotoko will travel to Kenya for the first leg on the weekend of 14-16 December,2018 before hosting the return leg at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Even though football activities in the country has been put on hold, coach C.K Akunnor’ side were granted the permission to represent Ghana in Africa as the holders of last season’s FA Cup.
Kotoko will engage in some friendly matches to test the might of their players before travelling to Kenya for the cagey encounter.
