Michael Asare Boadu confrmed his exit from Empire FM early Monday, May 11, 2020, but he might have concluded talks with Skyy Media Group before announcing his departure.
The Broadcast Journalist’s departure didn’t come as a shock – the news was already trending on social media – and his next destinaton which wouldn’t be outside the province of Sekondi-Takoradi tagged along with all the speculations.

Asare Boadu who also doubles as a sports writer for footballmadeinghana.com and chips in sometimes with digital works for Skyy FC, a subsidiary of Skyy Group of Companies was the third to announce his departure from Empire FM since May, 2020 began.

Nana Adwoa Entsua and Rosaline Djan were the other names.
In his departure notice, Asare Boadu opined a line which could be a confirmation to our report that his next destination has already been decided and could be Skyy Group of Companies – “A decision about my next step has been taken and shall be made public, very soon”.

Checks by kyfilla.com revealed the deal has already been done and Michael Asare Boadu could be heard on Skyy Power FM in a team with Oty-Essilfie Mensah Joseph, Paul Ayamba and others in the next couple of days.

Asare Boadu is expected to man the Communication Director role at Skyy FC, a department that has come under huge criticism in the media in the past months.
