The member of Parliament for Asawase constituency in the Ashanti Region, Muntaka Mubarak Mohammed held the hand of his said to be six-year old daughter to thumbprint the ballot papers.
Hon. Muntaka Mohammed arrived at the Peace of God polling station at Aboabo to cast his vote with his said to be six-year old daughter dressed in all white apparel.[ads2]
According to reporters, the NDC legislator went through the voting process but headed to the designated box where he held the hand of the child and thumbprint both the presidential and parliamentary papers.
He then folded the papers and gave to the child to drop it into the ballot boxes. This has sparked controversies as many believe the action by the incumbent MP was wrong.[ads3]
