AshantiGold Sporting Club have placed an interlocutory injunction on the commencement of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.[ads2]
This comes after the Obuasi-based club was demoted to the division two over match-fixing against Inter Allies in Ghana Premier League last two seasons.
According to a court injunction sighted by Kyfilla.com, the President of the former Ghana Premier League champions, Dr Kwaku Frimpong want the upcoming league season on hold until Ashantigold SC are reinstated as part of the Premier League clubs for the 2022/23 league season.[ads3]
The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season was scheduled to commence on Friday, September 9, 2022 but it seems it may delayed as a result of the injunction.
