Ashantigold SC have made a shock move for Karela United enterprising defender Ampem Dacosta, kyfilla.com can report.
According to report, management of the Obuasi based side have contacted Karela for the services of the 22- year old but the deal would be finalized only if Ashgold pay for the GHS 50,000 price tag of the enterprising defender.
Dacosta has been very instrumental since joining the Ayinase based giant from Wassaman United in 2016 and currently remains as the club’s most capped player.
His outstanding performance for Karela has gained him the nickname ‘Pique’ and was linked to a move outside the country.
Dacosta is also being linked to a move to Ghana Premier League sides Accra Hearts of Oak and Aduana Stars due to his unprecedented form for Karela United.
He’s undoubtedly the best and reliable centre-back for coach Johnson Smith side after the departure of Abdul Ishmael Ganiyu who joined the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup participant, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
