Earlier today, I joined the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in commissioning the Obetsebi-Lamptey Interchange Phase 2, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion in critical areas of Accra. This comes after Phase 1 of the interchange was commissioned in 2020 by President Akufo-Addo. The 3-tier interchange also features a 389-meter bridge, providing a direct link for traffic on Ring Road West across the Obetsebi Lamptey Circle. In a statement released on Wednesday, the GFA said the decision was made to allow participants to exercise their civic responsibility during the national General Elections scheduled for December 7, 2024. Former Liberia warlord and Nimba County Senator, Prince Yormie Johnson has died on Thursday 28 November 2024 at the age of 72.
