The bonuses due  Ghana’s U20 women’s national team players from last year’s qualifying matches have finally been disbursed. The Ministry of Youth and Sports reduced the amount of bonuses that was due each player from $6,000 to $4,500, which has since been given to them. Sprinter Abdul Rasheed Saminu of Ghana has spoken out about the baton exchange incident that resulted in the disqualification of the country’s 4x100m relay team for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The team placed sixth in their heat and was disqualified for a changeover violation that was discovered during the race’s last leg.
