Sekondi Sports Stadium located at Essipong, a suburb in Sekondi has been left to deteriorates after the 2008 African Cup of Nations. The edifice built to co-host the 2008 AFCON in Ghana had seen no renovation work after the tournament and its current state is an eyesore. It now in an atrocious and a very disgracing state.
