Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender, Awal Mohammed has advised management of the team to cease from buying players who excelled in just a season and focus on those who are consistent.
According to the former defender, Asante Kotoko should opt for young and energetic players who have shown consistency in the local league for about two or more seasons to beef up the team ahead of the next season’s CAF inter-club competitions.
“Asante Kotoko shouldn’t buy season players but rather opt for young and energetic who have been consistent. Also, the management shouldn’t listen to the media reports in adjudging ins and outs at the club”, he told Light FM.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have qualified for the next season’s CAF Champions League after beating Karela United in the NC Special Competition tier 1 final at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
