Chairperson of the Local Organizing Committee in charge of the 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations, Madam Freda Prempeh says the Black Queens of Ghana’s preparations ahead of the tournament is very poor.
According to the Member of Parliament for Tano North constituency, the Black Queens preparations towards the AWCON is very poor compared to the other nations.
The WAFU Cup of Nations holders on August 3 kick started preparations ahead of the AWCON 2018 and had been left on their own by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Liaison Team.
The team have proposed friendly encounters across the nation to further fine tune preparations, but Hon. Freda Prempeh reckons it’s not enough.
“The Black Queens preparations for the AWCON 2018 is very poor and we need to do more”, she told Accra based Adom TV.
She however continued that “Ghana as a country need to be more passionate about woman football” same as that of the men.
