Ghana Black Stars defender Baba Abdul Rahman fainted during the PAOK Thessaloniki vs. Panathinaikos game yesterday in the Greece Cup Semi-Finals.
After a 2-2 draw in regulation time, the game had gone into overtime when the strange incident took place in the 115th minute.
The shocking incident left supporters and fans across the world baffled as Ghanaians prayed fervently for his recovery.
It happened when an opposing player headed the back of Rahman, resulting in the left-back losing consciousness. A lengthy break was observed while he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
Thankfully, the 29-year-old recovered consciousness after receiving emergency medical attention on the field.
He was, nevertheless, taken from the field in an ambulance as a precautionary measure, and he is presently receiving additional care in the hospital.
Regretfully, his team won 2-1 but lost 6-5 in penalty shootouts following a 2-2 aggregate loss. The player’s condition is stable as of right now, he shared the message below,
