The Baba Yara Sports stadium pitch will not be open for use in domestic competitions until following Ghana’s match against the Central African Republic in the FIFA World Cup qualifier for 2026.
This decision was made to give pitch managers more time to enhance the quality of the surface before the qualifier on Monday, June 10, 2024.
Four days after their matchup with the Mali Eagles in Bamako, Ghana, and the Central African Republic will square off in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Monday, May 10, 2024, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Ghana Premier League Matchday 32 fixture between Asante Kotoko and Accra Great Olympics will now take place at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
