Ghanaian International and reigning Confederation of African Football Young Player of the Year and Interclub Player of the Year, Evelyn Badu has been named in the initial list of 30 players gunning for the CAF Women’s Player of the Year Award.
The list which was released on Tuesday, November 14, revealed the former Hasaacas Ladies and current Avaldsness IL midfielder as the only Ghanaian in the elite list.
Evelyn Badu won the Interclub and Young Player of the Year award following her outstanding display with Hasaacas Ladies in the maiden edition of the 2021 CAF Women’s Champions League and helping Hasaacas Ladies to five trophies.
She’s currently part of the rejuvenated Black Queens team under Coach Nora Hauptel aiming to make a return to the African Women’s Cup of Nations after missing out on the previous edition.
Badu is key figure in the Queens team aiming for an Olympic slot in next year’s Paris 2024.
