Deputy Chief of Staff, Francis Asenso-Boakye has defeated incumbent member of Parliament Daniel Okyem-Aboagye in the ruling NPP Primaries at Bantama in the Ashanti Region.
Asenso-Boakye whipped Okyem-Aboagye with a whopping 452 votes as against 122 of Okyem-Aboagye in the Primaries held today, June 20, 2020.

Bantama, one of the strongholds for the ruling New Patriotic Party will have Asenso-Boakye representing them in the 2020 General Elections in December this year.
Voting started earlier this morning with 374 aspirants contesting in 168 Constituencies.
Our of the aspirants, 325 were males while 51 were females. 67 went unopposed and were acclaimed by delegates at the various Constituencies.
