The Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Francis Asenso-Boakye has made a donation of hairdryers to 49 hairdressers in the Constituency.
These hairdressers are graduated apprentices of the Bantama branch of the Ghana Progressive Hairdressers and Beauticians Association.[ads4]
The donation forms part of legislator’s efforts in promoting economic development in the Constituency.
Speaking after the presentation, Hon. Asenso-Boakye reiterated that the move was in fulfillment of an earlier commitment made ahead of last year’s general election to support constituents engaged in various economic activities in the informal sector with working tools and other forms of assistance.
The former Deputy Chief of Staff at the Presidency added that, “I deem my election into office as an opportunity to serve and make an impact in the lives of my people. I will continue continue to do so with diligence and sincerity, selflessness and respect for all.”
