The Minister of Creative, Economy,Culture and Sports Hon. John King has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah in Accra.
The call was to share experience and to learn from the best practices especially in the area of sports from Ghana.
He commended the Minister for his various initiatives in promoting sports development.
He disclosed that his country is using sports for crime prevention, employment and unearthing of talents for the development of the country.

He also commended Ghana for its democratic credentials.
On his part, Hon. Asiamah thanked his guest for the visit and assured him of Ghana’s readiness to assist Barbados in sports development.
He disclosed that government is constructing FIFA sanctioned stadia across the country with the sole purpose of improving sports and equipping the young people with skills and unearthing of talents for the development of the country.

He also informed his counterpart about the return of football in the country and the assistance being offered to all other sporting disciplines.
Hon Asiamah also called for a bilateral agreement between the two countries in sports development.
The Barbadian Minister was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of his Ministry,Mr Jehu Wiltshire.
