Bashiru Hayford, the coach of Hearts of Lions, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of recognition he has received despite his brilliant coaching career.
In the recently concluded Ghana Premier League season, the former Asante Kotoko trainer helped Hearts of Lions avoid relegation on the last day of play.
He took over the Kpando-based club halfway through the season and guided the team to stay in the top division at the end of it.
Despite his extensive coaching background, the seasoned coach maintains that his knowledge of the game and expertise is not being utilised by the nation.
Bashiru Hayford led Kotoko to Premier League victory in 2008. He has served as the coach of the Black Queens in 2018 in addition to coaching Heart of Lions and Legon Cities in the League.
Hayford has also served as national team manager for Somalia.
