Former General Secretary of the Ghana Athletics Association, Bawah Fuseini has been elevated to the Presidency seat after securing a whopping 93 percent of the votes casted in an election held at Techiman on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
Bawah Fuseini now replaces Professor Francis Dodoo who held the seat since 2010 and stepped down after 11 years tenure in July 2021.
The newly elected president, Bawah Fuseini polled 50 out of the 54 votes casted on the day after a competition against Afelibiek Ababu, Edem Tamakloe and Sylvester Sedonkor.
Afelibiek Ababu who succeeded Professor Dodoo after he resigned from the seat in July 2021 also stepped down from the competition few hours to the elections.
