[ads4]The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has congratulated the newly elected national executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The NPP elected new national executives last Saturday, July 16 during their national delegates conference at the Accra Sports Stadium with candidates contesting for ten positions in the party.
Party members and followers had to wait till the early hours of Sunday for the results of the election with John Boadu losing the General Secretary position to Justin Frimpong Kodua as the major talking point.[ads3]
The party also had a new national Chairman in the person of Stephan Ntim who had failed to claim the seat in four attempts.
Only Henry Nana Boakye and Kate Gyamfuah retained their seats as the National Organiser and Women’s Organizer respectively with the others positions occupied by newcomers.
The Vice President in a Facebook post said, “Congratulations to all the newly elected and returning National Officers of our dear party. I look forward to working with you. To the other candidates who didn’t make it, I say to you, well done and better luck next time.”[ads1]
“Together we shall grow our Party and work to sustain the political power,” he added.
