Bechem United striker Wontah Hafiz Konkoni has set sight on this season’s Ghana Premier League goal king.
The lanky goal poacher is currently leading the topscorers chart with 14 goals with five matches to end the league season.
With two goals away from Mizack Afriyie of Berekum Chelsea who sit second on the log, Hafiz Konkoni believes he can clinch the enviable award at the end of the season.
“I want to win the goal king but my priority is to help Bechem United before any personal glory”, he said in a video played on Kessben FM in Kumasi.
His impressive performance has cushioned Bechem United to the second position on the league table with 48 points after 29 matches, just three points from catching up with league leaders Aduana Stars.
Hafiz Konkoni will face huge competitions from Mizack Afriyie of Berekum Chelsea and Sampson Eduku of Tamale City FC fame who have netted 12 goals each after 29 matches.
Meanwhile, Issah Kuka of Real Tamale United, Abednego Tetteh of Bibiani Goldstars and Steven Mukwala Desse of Asante Kotoko are also in the race for the goal king gong with 11 goals each.
