Goldstars Football Club on Thursday 3rd May, 2018 received a cheque of GH 15,000 from the Bibiani Municipal Assembly as a way of motivating the team in their quest to qualify to the Ghana Premier League.
The cheque was received by the Chief Executive Officer of the club Kwesi Adu at Bibiani.
The Division One side which is been sponsored by the Bibiani Gold Mines, has over the years tried their possible best to qualify to the Ghana premier league but all efforts have proved futile due to lack of enough player quality and other factors.
The Municipal Assembly as part of their role in making sure a Premier league side comes to the town, have appealed to the management and the entire playing body of Bibiani Goldstars to do their possible best to qualify the team to the Ghana Premier League.
Kwesi Adu, CEO of the Club also expressed his gratitude to the Assembly for such a kind gesture and promise them that, the team will also do everything possible in their rank to make sure they get a Premier League slot.
However, the CEO stressed that,the money will go a long way to motivate the players as their winning bonuses and salaries will be sorted out on time.He also tasked other companies within the Bibiani Municipality to also come and support.
