[ads3]Popular Takoradi-based sports broadcasters, Philip Kobina Inkumsah and Evans Mensah Shearer have left WestGold Radio, Kyfilla.com can exclusively reveal.
Kyfilla.com can exclusively reveal that the duo have departed the West Fijai-based radio station after tendering in their resignation letters earlier this week.
This comes as a huge blow to Skyy Media Group (operators of Skyy Power FM, WestGold Radio and Starr TV) who have lost numerous employees recently.
As to what necessitated their decisions to leave the station continue to be unknown but sources divulge that the duo have parted ways with the Ghanaian media conglomerate after years of active services.[ads3]
According to a deep throat, Philip Kobina Inkumsah could be heading to Accra as three radio stations in the nation’s capital have showed gross interest in landing his signature whereas Evans Mensah Shearer, known for his in-depth analysis on both foreign and the local game, will be joining one of vibrant radio stations in Takoradi with talks already in advanced.
The two teamed up with ace broadcaster George Kuntu Blankson and Nana Akwasi Mensah (late) and were one of theĀ awe-inspiring sports crew the Western Region has ever had.[ads2]
Inkumsah joined WestGold Radio in 2015 after leaving the defunct Radio Silver in Sekondi whereas Evans Mensah Shearer was with Goodnews FM before joining the Skyy Media Group family.
