Kumasi Asante Kotoko wonder-kid Maxwell Baakoh will be out for six months due to shin injury.
The youngster was out of action for the Porcupines during their match-four encounter with Nkana FC today 3rd March, 2019 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
According to coach C.K Akonnor, Baakoh has been playing with the shin injury but aggravated it during their final training session on Friday before their CAF Confederation Cup clash against the Kitwe based club.
” Maxwell Baakoh is injured and he will be out for sometime. He has been playing with the injury for sometime now. But he aggravated it during our final session.
“He will be out for about 12 weeks to 6 months. Depending on whether he will undergo a surgery or not. We will have to wait and see,” he said at the post match press conference.
The former Karela United sensation has been phenomenal for the Kotoko, scoring two goals in their Africa campaign.
