The spokesperson of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu has urged the government to role out immediate steps in dealing with LGBTQ in Ghana.
LGBTQ which simply is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer community has opened an office at Tesano, a suburb in Accra to promote their rights in Ghana.[ads2]
Many have reacted to the move from the community with President Akufo-Addo being pressurized to put immediate steps to deal with them since rules in the country kick against that.
Adding his voice, Sheikh Aremeyaw said on Peace FM that, “government must act now to close down all the offices; immediately otherwise, bishops, pastors, Imams, Sheikhs will come together to protest against this”.[ads3]
He has also called for a review of the laws “to cover all other elements of the sexual orientations” since it keeps expanding.
