Owner of Bis Paradise Sporting Club, Mark Bismark Owusu Mensah has been disqualified from contesting the position as the Western Region Football Association chairmanship race.
The decision which was communicated on Thursday, September 6, 2023 meant the incumbent, Simon Ehomah will go unopposed and occupy the position until October 2027.
Bismark Owusu Mensah contended for the position in the previous elections held in October 2019 and came third after Simon Ehomah and James Kanyah.

The disqualification came with reasons that signatories of Sekondi Eleven Wise and Karlos Filos Football Club were not indeed signatories to these clubs as per the books of the Ghana Football Association.
Bismark is currently putting documents together to appeal to issue which should not take later than Monday, September 11, 2023.
