Head Coach of the Black Queens of Ghana, Bashiru Hayford says his outfit will win the eleventh edition of the African Women’s Cup of Nations which will be hosted in Ghana.
The Black Queens of Ghana as part of preparations ahead of the AWCON 2018, embarked on a nationwide tour where they engaged some teams in friendly matches to test their might.
The tour was climaxed with an encounter with the Western region select side at the Sekondi Sports Stadium on Wednesday, September 26.

However, coach Bashiru Hayford who believes his side are poised for the women’s AFCON during an interview with the press assured Ghanaians that the Black Queens will qualify Ghana to the world cup and also win the eight nations tournament [AWCON] which will be hosted in Ghana.
“We will use one stone to kill two birds, that is, winning the AWCON and also qualifying Ghana to the world cup”, he said.

Meanwhile, goals from Mavis Owusu, Karima Abdulai and in-form Grace Asantewaa ensured a victory for the Queens after beating Western region select side by 3:0.
