Ghana’s senior women’s national team, Black Queens will be preparing a friendly encounter against Western Select side on Wednesday, September 26 at the Sekondi Gyandu Park.
The friendly encounter forms part of Black Queens preparations ahead of the 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations.
Black Queens started their tour of the nation at Ashanti Region and moved north to the Brong Ahafo Region and the Northern Region and will be moving to the Western Region on Tuesday.
Western Region will be putting together a team made up of players from the National Women’s League and the Lower division league to play the Black Queens.
Coach Bashiru Hayford and his lasses will be engaging the western select side at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 26.
Ghana will be hosting Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Zambia, Algeria, South Africa and Mali from November 17 to December 1.
The 11th edition of the AWCON will also serve as the qualification for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be hosted in France.
