On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, the Black Satellites trained at the Achimota School Park in preparation for their opening match versus Congo in the 13th African Games Men’s event.
The national U-20 squad will play their Congolese opponents at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 8, 2024, to begin their African Games campaign.
The players traveled by camp for several days in Prampram and Cape Coast before landing in Accra on Tuesday to play a practice match against Legon Cities FC of the Premier League. Both teams gave excellent performances, but the trial game finished in a goalless tie.
All 20 players participated fully in the intense practice on Wednesday at the team’s officially designated training facility. The official training session for the team is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 16:45 to 18:00 at the Achimota School Park.
