The Black Stars ‘B’ of Ghana trio have made it to the 2019 WAFU CUP best eleven.

Ghana failed to defend the title after a 3-1 penalty shoot-outs defeat to the Lions of Senegal in the grand finale at the Stade Lat Dior.

The trio namely; Fatawu Mohammed, Joseph Esso and Shafiu Mumuni were the three Ghanaian players selected.

Even though Ghana couldn’t win the tournament, coach Maxwell Konadu was adjudged the best coach after the competition.
Hearts of Oak defender Fatawu Mohammed played every minutes in the competition and was a delight to watch, which has earned him a slot in the best eleven likewise fellow teammate Joseph Esso who scored twice in the competition.

Shafiu Mumuni of Ashgold also made to the best eleven after winning the topscorers award with four goals, and he is the only player to net hat-trick in the WAFU Championship.
