Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, has climbed four places to 64th in the latest FIFA rankings.
This achievement comes after their impressive victories over Mali and Central African Republic in recent World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars rallied to defeat Mali 2-1 before securing a convincing 4-3 home win against Central African Republic in Kumasi. Their strong performance has also lifted them two places higher on the continental scale, moving them from 14th to 12th in Africa.
Ghana’s recent football victories have not only enhanced their chances of qualifying for the World Cup but also elevated their standing in the FIFA rankings, both internationally and within Africa.
Liberia, however, stands out with the most dramatic improvement, climbing a remarkable ten positions. Another African nation making a significant impact on the rankings is Namibia, which has achieved a noteworthy nine-place rise.
On a global scale, Argentina maintains its top spot, a testament to its consistently strong performances. France remains in second place, while Belgium ascends to third.
England, however, has dropped to fourth after previously holding the third position.
