Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor will be earning a whopping $20,000 as his monthly salary.

According to reports, the Youth & Sports Ministry together with the Ghana Football Association have agreed to give Akonnor the aforementioned amount as his monthly salary.
It is believed that both the Youth & Sports Ministry and the Ghana Football Association held a meeting and decided to pay the Black Stars gaffer $20,000 every month.
Akonnor was appointed the head coach of the Ghana senior national team (Black Stars) in January 2020 after a brief spell as assistant to former gaffer Kwesi Appiah.
David Duncan, his assistant will be paid $10,000 as his monthly salary with the other national team coaches taking between $5000 to $2000 per month.

Kyfilla.com understands, the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) will hand the official contract to the various coaches in the coming days as they usher in a new era.
Akonnor capped 41 times for Ghana and scored 12 before beginning his coaching career at Sekondi Eleven Wise.
He has previously coached Ghana Premier League clubs like Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC, Ashgold Sporting Club and Asante Kotoko.
