Black Stars midfielder Bernard Mensah has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.
This was after Ghana’s international friendly games with Mali and Qatar in Turkey last weekend.

A statement from his club Besiktas reads, “The routine Covid-19 PCR test applied by our club on the return of our football player Bernard Mensah to the Ghana National Team camp where he was invited, was positive. Bernard Mensah’s follow-up and treatment process was initiated in accordance with the relevant protocols.”

Mensah played in Ghana’s 3:0 defeat to Mali and was an unused sub in the 5:1 victory against Qatar last Monday.
He becomes the second person from Ghana camp to contract the devastating disease after management Committee member Jones Abu Alhassan who has been quarantined in Turkey.
