Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo has named his squad for the upcoming friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.
Bolivia based David Akologo, Nordsjaellands Ibrahim Osman, France based Nathaniel Adjei, and Diomande Mohammed of Rangers of Scotland are the new faces that have been named in Ghana’s 26-man squad for this month’s international friendlies.
After outstanding performances with their respective clubs, the quarter and Frederick Asare of Asante Kotoko have earned their first Black Stars call-ups.
The first friendly matches under Otto Addo’s leadership are slated to take place in Marrakech, Morocco.
Tariq Lamptey, the right back for Brighton & Hove Albion, has returned to the team following his recovery from an injury that kept him out of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Midfielder Edmund Addo, winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and left back Patrick Kpozo have also returned to the squad.
The team includes captain Andre Ayew, forward Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Osman Bukari, Samed Abdul Samed, and Elisha Owusu.
On Friday, March 22, Ghana plays Nigeria; four days later, it plays Uganda.
