After securing qualification to the 2023 African Cup Of Nations in Ivory Coast, with a 2-1 victory over Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium, Ghana will find out the opponents of the Black Stars On Thursday, October 12 in Abidjan where the tournament’s draw will take place.
Mohammed Kudus and Ernest Nuamah’s goals made it possible for the Black Stars to make comeback win after going down by a goal in the 25th minute of the first half.
With the victory, the Black Stars qualified for the AFCON for the tenth consecutive year and finished first in Group E with 12 points.
Angola, who placed second in the group with 9 points, and Ghana both advanced.
Next year, Ghana will attempt to snap a 41-year trophy drought at the African Cup of Nations.
On January 13, 2024, the opening match of the Cup of Nations will take place at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan and on February 11, the final will take place.
Ghana has won the Africa Cup of Nations four times (1963, 1965, 1978, and 1982), while finishing as runners-up five times (1968, 1970, 1992, 2010, and 2015).
