Ghanaian combative enforcer, James Agyekum Kotei has been voted the best midfielder in the 2019 MO Simba Awards.
The midfield dynamo beats competition from colleagues Jonas Mkude and Mzamiru Yasin for the award.
Kotei enjoyed a spectacular season with the Msimbadzi Reds, featuring in all the CAF Champions League matches and played a vital role to the team’s success this season.
He helped Simba Sporting Club to defend the Tanzania Premier League as well as to reach the quarterfinal stage of the CAF Champions League for the very first time in the club’s history.
The MO Simba Awards is an initiative by the majority shareholder of the club, Mohammed Dewji in appreciation of players who performed wonderfully in a particular season.
