The Court of Arbitration of Sports has today, July 20, served the Ghana Football Association notice of case involving King Faisal Football Club and Tamale City Football Club.
The notice of appeal by King Faisal requires the GFA to respond in the next 20 days upon receipt.
Alhaji Grunsah’s King Faisal exhausted all internal processes of the matter against Tamale City FC and therefore has CAS as the last resort per Federation of International Football Association’s internal tribunal arrangements.
King Faisal after suffering a heavy defeat to Tamale City lodged protest against Isaac Mensah/Jireh Kojo Nissi for having two different identities in the FIFA Connect System.
The case of the Kumasi-based team was simply for the Disciplinary Committee to penalize Tamale City and the player by way of six points deduction and a year ban for Issac Mensah/Jireh Kojo Nissi.
Both the GFA Disciplinary Committee and the Appeals Committee dismissed the case and Alhaji Grunsah’s Club headed out of the betPawa Premier League as one of the three relegated teams alongside Tamale City FC and Kotoku Royals FC.

Alhaji Grunsah, a member of the Black Stars Management Committee has publicly traded dissatisfaction of both rulings and has since moved it to a higher level to seek redress.
It remains to be seen as the GFA has 20 days to respond before CAS will call for an arbitrary of the case.
