Head coach for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Charles Kwablah Akonnor has called on the Normalization Committee for the immediate return of the domestic league in the country.
Akonnor witnessed his side booting out of the CAF Confederation Cup after their painful defeat to Zesco United last Sunday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
According to the astute tactician, engaging in a domestic league would sustain the form of the playing body since their elimination in the CAF Confederation Cup.
“We have to go back home and reorganise ourselves.
“It’s important we start the league. The inability of the league not going on is a major problem.
“I will love us to continue with bit of competition and that the team can be ongoing.
“But if we go back and within a week or two weeks and the league is not going on is going to be a problem for us,” he concluded.
Football activities in the country is currently in the normalization period after the premiering of the Anas Aremayaw Anas expose video last year which uncovered the rot in Ghana football.
