Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Charles Kwablan Akonnor is currently uncertain about the future of their deadly goal poacher Songne Yacouba.
Reports have emerged concerning the future of the Burkinabe international with Zesco United, Nkana FC and Al Hilal all reported to be interested in the attacker.
Akonnor, after the exit of the Porcupine Warriors in the CAF Confederation Cup, believes his outfit have to improved their financial agreement with the forward before he can be retained as Asante Kotoko striker.
“To be honest, we have discussed his (Songne Yacouba) situation and we need to change a lot of things in Ghana football by returning the domestic league to keep him.
“We have to improve our standards in terms of finances before we can keep him at the team”, he concluded.
Yacouba was a delight to watch in Asante Kotoko CAF Confederation Cup campaign even though he missed their last group game against Zesco United due to suspension.
He managed to score two goals in the CAF Confederation Cup with two assists for the Porcupines.
