Former Asante Kotoko stalwart defender cum captain Joseph Hendricks has entreats the current head coach C.K Akunnor to be spiritually strong in order to succeed at the team.
According to the former defender, this is the time that most players would try to overshadow the coach for first team selection during their African campaign.
“Currently Kotoko have the best of squad and this will be a tough time for the head coach.
“This is the time C.K Akunnor should be spiritually strong to overcome the unforseen powers that will come to him.
“As a player, I have seen such things before, this time around each and every player would want to secure a first team selection during their African campaign and some of the players would spiritually attack the team for selection”, he told Kwame Yeboah of Radio Silver in Sekondi.
He however advised the players to play their maximum best for the team to make the chairman of the team, Dr. Kwame Kyei’s investment successful.
Asante Kotoko are currently in Takoradi for a 10 day camping ahead of their CAF Confederation cup next season.
