Ghana’s Dreams FC beat Rivers United 2-1 in their second CAF Confederations Cup group stage game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium Kumasi.
The ‘Still Believe’ lads for the first time in their history cruised to a win in the group stage of any of the CAF inter-club competitions as in this case the CAF Confederations Cup.
Their dreams of getting back on track in their group stage campaign after a 2-0 loss to Club Africain became reality as goals from John Antwi and Abdul Aziz Issah on the 35th and 75th minutes respectively saw the home side take the maximum three points.Rivers United scored their consolation goal in added on time of the game (90+4) through Oyowah.
Dreams FC are now second in group D of the CAF Confederations Cup with three points.
Dreams FC’s will play their next CAF Confederations Cup group stage game against Academica Petroleos on Sunday, December 10 at 4pm.
