Ex- Ghana Football Association Vice President, George Afriyie is optimistic that Asante Kotoko will make it to the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Porcupines chances of qualifying to the next stage of the competition is in jeopardy after sharing spoils with Al Hilal Omdurman yesterday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The team after the stalemate are very determined to amassed the three maximum points against Zesco United at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Sunday in the last group game of the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup.
George Afriyie on his official Facebook page stated that
” Kotoko to qualify in Ndola” We are leaving Ghana for Ndola on Wednesday to prepare the grounds”.
Zesco United per the current standings of the group C table are out of the competition whilst Asante Kotoko need to win against the Ndola based lads to secure quarter-final berth.
Kotoko have scheduled to leave the shores of Ghana for Zambia on Tuesday March 12 with deadly goal poacher Songne Yacouba to miss the cagey encounter due to suspension.
