Nkana FC showed class today by thumping arch rivals Zesco United 3:0 even without their buoyant defender Richard Ocran.
Goals from Ronald and Kelvin Kampamba as well as Shadrick Musonda ensured that the Kitwe based giant pinned Zesco United 3:0 in the match-five of the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.
However, the stalwart defender was not among Nkana’s eighteen member squad for the clash but washed his side in the stands thrashing Zesco United at the Nkana Stadium in Kitwe today.
The Ghanaian international was given a second yellow card in their duel against Asante Kotoko in Kitwe for elbowing Songne Yacouba which has rendered his absent in Nkana’s last two games in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Meanwhile, the victory against their arch rivals today has ensured that, Nkana climb up to the first position in group C with 9 points waiting for the outcome of Asante Kotoko and Al Hilal duel in Kumasi this evening.
The Kitwe based club will travel to Sudan for their last group game against Al Hilal on March 17, 2019 and Ocran is expected to make a return to the starting line-up.
