Asante Kotoko are likely to meet Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks FC in the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup following their 6:1 victory at home over Artar Solar from Djibouti.
Kariobangi Sharks hosted Artar Solar in the CAF Confederation Cup prelims at the Moi International Sports Stadium today 27th November, 2018.
The encounter ended in a 7 goal thriller with the Kenyans emerging as the winners.
Kotoko had a walkover in the first phase of the CAF Confederation Cup prelims after the Cameroon Football Federation failed to present a second team in the Confederation Cup to face Kotoko.
However, it’s likely that, the Porcupine Warriors will meet Kariobangi Sharks after thrashing counterpart Artar Solar 6:1 at home.
Coach C.K Akunnor and his charges will opened their Confederation Cup campaign at away to the winner of the Kariobangi Sharks and Arta Solar but it seems like the Porcupine Warriors will rather travel to Kenya.
The return leg is scheduled for Wednesday 5th December,2018 in Djibouti.
