Ghanaian defender Richard Ocran has qualified Nkana FC to the quarter-finals stage of the CAF Confederation Cup even though they lost to Al Hilal Omdurman at Sudan today.
Nkana FC were beaten 4:1 by Al Hilal Omdurman at Khartoum in the last group game of the CAF Confederation Cup with Ocran lasting the full throttle.
The experienced defender returned from suspension with such an impressive performance but single-handedly couldn’t prevent the deadly attack of the Khartoum based club from scoring.
Even though they lost to Al Hilal, Nkana FC, thanks to arch rivals Zesco United have qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition.
Zesco United showed enough patriotism by defeating Asante Kotoko 2:1 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium today to pave way for Nkana to sail through.
Ocran is however expected to lead the team for glory in their next stage fixture which will be made known on Wednesday 20th March,2019 in the final draw.
