The Confederation of African Football is yet to announce the date for the 2018 Total African Women’s Cup of Nations draw after the association’s general meeting on September 27-28.
8 times Champions Nigeria, 2 times Champions Equatorial Guinea, host Ghana, Cameroon, South Africa, Mali, Zambia and Algeria secured places to the 11th edition of the Total African Women’s Cup of Nations.
The eight qualified nations will be made aware of the date to decide which group they will compete in and nations to compete against.
With just 73 days more to the start of the tournament, CAF are yet to decide when the draw of the biennial tournament which will also serve as qualifiers to the 2019 World Cup comes off.
The AWCON 2018 tournament also serves as qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup at the top three finishing Nations earn slots to the 2019 world cup.
