Former Western Regional deputy minister, Alfred Ekow Gyan has passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
According to the Ebusuapanyin of the Nsona Ebusua of Ekumfi Nanaben, Kojo Assan, the ace politician died at the IMAH Hospital at Tema in the Greater Accra Region.[ads2]
Hon. Ekow Gyan died of cancer and related health complications according to Ebusuapanyin Kojo Assan.

NDC confirm death of former Parliamentary candidate for Takoradi
Popularly referred to as ‘Abort’, the ace politician was a two-time NDC parliamentary candidate for Takoradi constituency.[ads3]
Until his demise, Alfred Ekow Gyan was the Western Regional President of the Professional Forum of the NDC and the Chairman of the party’s Communication Committee in the region.
He is regarded as a strong pillar of the party doing exceedingly behind the scenes for the party both at the regional and national level.
Hon. Alfred Ekow Gyan was also a Quantity Surveyor by profession and member of the Ghana Institute of Quantity Surveyors.
