A CCTV footage of the recent Achimota daylight robbery where armed robbers bolted with a whopping Gh¢20,000.00 has emerged.
The Hollywood-style robbery happened on Monday with the robbers shooting a guy on a motorbike.[ads2]
The victim, who had allegedly gone to withdraw money from the bank, was parked at the Achimota overhead traffic light, waiting to make a turn unto the N1 and join the Lapaz road when a hawker approached her.
The woman had gone to Universal Merchant Bank, Abeka Branch where she had withdrawn an amount of GH¢20,000.00.[ads3]
While waiting to join the Lapaz road, two guys in a motorbike parked in front of the car while another, also with two occupants, parked by its right doors – they approached the vehicle, opened the door and and immediately retreated with the bag of money.
